Code of Conduct

By becoming a member of the UK Single Family Association, you acknowledge and agree to adhere to this Code of Conduct. Violations may result in disciplinary action, including suspension or termination of membership.

  1. Ethical Behaviour:
    1. Members shall conduct themselves with the utmost integrity, honesty, and transparency in all professional interactions.
    2. Unethical practices, including but not limited to bribery, corruption, or fraudulent activities, will not be tolerated.
  2. Professionalism:
    1. Members will maintain a high standard of professionalism in their dealings within the Association and the wider industry.
    2. Respectful and courteous behaviour is expected in all communications and collaborations.
  3. Compliance with Laws and Regulations:
    1. Members shall comply with all applicable laws, regulations, and industry standards.
    2. Any knowledge of or involvement in illegal activities must be reported promptly to the relevant authorities.
  4. Non-Discrimination and EDI:
    1. Members shall promote and embrace Equality, Diversity, and Inclusion (EDI) principles within their organizations and the broader industry.
    2. Discrimination based on race, gender, ethnicity, sexual orientation, or any other protected characteristic is strictly prohibited.
  5. Environmental and Social Responsibility:
    1. Members shall demonstrate a commitment to Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) principles in their business practices.
    2. Efforts to minimize environmental impact, support community initiatives, and uphold social responsibility are encouraged.
  6. Customer Service and Renter-Centric Approach:
    1. Members shall prioritize a customer service-oriented attitude towards renters.
    2. Fair and transparent communication, responsiveness to renter needs, and commitment to resolving issues promptly are fundamental.
  7. Collaboration and Knowledge Sharing:
    1. Members are encouraged to actively engage in collaborative efforts and knowledge-sharing initiatives within the Association.
    2. Openness to sharing insights, experiences, and best practices contributes to the collective growth and success of the industry.
  8. Confidentiality:
    1. Members shall respect the confidentiality of sensitive information obtained through Association activities.
    2. Unauthorized disclosure of confidential information is strictly prohibited.
  9. Conflict of Interest:
    1. Members shall disclose any potential or actual conflicts of interest that may arise in the course of their involvement with the Association.
    2. Transparent communication regarding conflicts of interest is essential to maintaining trust within the Association.
  10. Accountability:
    1. Members accept accountability for their actions and decisions within the Association and the industry.
    2. Prompt reporting of any violations of the Code of Conduct is essential for maintaining the integrity of the Association.
